Sattu ka Paratha (Stuffed Roasted Chana Dal Paratha)

Ingredients

  • 500g Whole Wheat flour
  • 250g Sattu
  • 15 cloves finely chopped Garlic
  • 1 small finely chopped Onion
  • ½ inch finely chopped Ginger 
  • 2 finely chopped Green chilly
  • ½ cup finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • ½ Lemon
  • ½ teaspoon Carom seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Black cumin (kalonji)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Stuffed red chili or mango pickle
  • 2 tablespoon Mustard oil
  • water

Directions

Step 1

Take a bowl and mix whole wheat flour and water, knead it to make a soft dough, keep it aside.

Step 2

Now prepare stuffing, wash and finely chop onion, garlic, coriander leaves and green chilly. 

Step 3

Now take a bowl, add sattu, finely chopped ( onion, garlic, ginger, coriander leaves and green chilly), carom seeds, black cumin, salt, pickle,oil and mix well with a few drops of water.

Step 4

Now take a small portion of dough, roll it into a small ball and stuff the mixture in it and roll it again. Now flatten it with the use of a rolling pin. 

Step 5

Now heat the pan (tava) on medium flame. Now transfer the rolled stuffed paratha on tawa, apply oil on both sides and cook well.

Serve with Curd or Tea
